The 2012 Pennsylvania State Rally will held on June 14 - 17, 2012 with early parking on June 13th. The Rally will be on the Fairgrounds in Centre Hall, Pennsylvania.

After a trip to the 2011 International Rally in DuQuoin, Illinois for a wonderful time of friends and fellowship, Art and I continued northwest to visit family and friends in Iowa.  It was an enjoyable trip as we got to see relatives we haven’t seen in years.  Between seeing Holiday Rambler family and our family we couldn’t have had a better summer.

Since getting home, I have been waiting for some input regarding the new forms to send out to all chapters.  As you can tell from John’s letter above, there have been some computer problems that have needed to be addressed.  I will send out any new information that comes to me as soon as it is possible.

Meanwhile it is important that any chapter that has forgotten to do their IRS 990n filing, to get it done as soon as possible and let me know as well as sending a copy to Christi at Christina.Crist@HRRVC.org .

If any of the chapters have an election and change of Officers prior to the new deadline for forms, PLEASE send the information to me so that I can send any pertinent information to the correct people.

All the announcements made at the rally have been printed in the latest Ramblings.  I hope you have all taken the time to read though it.

I was glad that Bill Osbourne attended the rally and spoke both about himself and his background and his ideas regarding putting a good product out the door.    The idea that a unit should not ship until it is complete and without problems.  Each unit will have an audit sheet included in the paperwork.   Since it is a problem getting some dealers to do good service work, he plans to have Regional Service Centers.  We may have to travel a little further for certain services, but we will get better service.  In the future, the plan is to have Monaco and Holiday Ramblers be individual units that do not look like each other.  There was two Trips on the grounds and they certainly do not look anything like any we have seen before inside or outside. 

As far as the change to reporting for Innumerable Caravan, all the following information:  NAME,  HRRVC NUMBER, CHAPTER NUMBER, SPOUSES NAME AND ADDRESS should be sent to the National Chaplain, Don Fishel at don.fishel@yahoo.com , to the State Manager, Lou Kollasch at alkollasch@aol.com and to the Region II Director, John Powell at jpowell@columbus.rr.com .

The financial report which has been printed shows we are in much better than had been anticipated.  Due to the savings the Directors have had their fee for the International rally reinstated as well as mileage to attend this event.  They will also be reimbursed for mileage to attend 1 State Rally in their region.

The Directors are all working hard to improve the club and eliminate unnecessary expenses and materials.  They are also eliminating corporate apparel.

Any information we need to share or need to get answers about, should be directed to the Director who is in charge of that area.  There is a listing in the Ramblings showing each Director’s responsibilities.  If in doubt about anything, direct your question to me and I will do my best to find the answer.

As most of you are aware, I consented to remain as State Manager for another year and Don Schwalm agreed to continue as Assistant State Manager.  I also appointed Deb Isett as a second Assistant State Manager.   I am sure she will bring some good ideas with her to keep our State Rally a great time for all. The State Rally this past year was not attended as well as past years and this caused a loss to the State Funds.  We had cut costs considerably and if we had as many attendees as the past years, we would have made money. 

The theme for the State Rally in 2012 is “Beach Party”.  I have already received some ideas from members and they will all be considered.   The challenge for the rally that was presented by this year’s winners, Chapter 194, is pennies.  Everyone bring their pennies to the rally and Chapter 194 will weigh them and take care of converting them into dollars to be split for our Charities. 

With this in mind, we thought we would make next years Bazaar a fun event instead of being a big moneymaker.  Since it is a Beach Party, we will have a Boardwalk to use as the theme for any fun things you want to do.
