A Brief History: Seventy-eight trailer owners were guests of Mellott Brothers Trailer Sales at a weekend campout in September 1973, complete with chicken barbecue and live entertainment. Our chapter was born on that date with 12 member families. On December 16th the Pennsylvania Assistant State Manager presented our charter at a covered dish Christmas party held in Mellott's garage. Lancaster was having its first snow storm of the season at the same time.

We quickly grew to 20, then 30 members, which seems to be our average. No longer are we only trailers. We have Class A and Class C motor homes, 5th wheels and trailers. There is a family feeling to our group and we happily welcome new members to our Holiday family. Monthly meetings keep us in touch with each other. December, January, February and March are dinners with campouts the remaining 8 months.
