We will be constructing a quilt block using a great method for making half square triangles. Lady of the Lake Square Ideas will be discussed for making this into a wall hanging or quilt. The technique we will use is called Triangulations.

Triangulations is a readily available computer software program for printing many sizes of blocks. It is similar to Triangles on a Roll and Thangles, but in my mind is much better. Details will be given in Class.

Participants need to bring a sewing machine with which they are familiar and the following supplies: Two fabrics that coordinate and contrast. Small scale prints or tone on tone work well. Two pieces of each will be needed. From each fabric cut one piece that is 71/2” by 7 ½” and one that is 8” by 10 ½”. If this is confusing just bring two fat quarters. Other supplies: Scissors for cutting fabric and paper at the same time, thread, pins, rotary cutter, small mat, ruler and pencil. Iron and pad are optional. FABRIC REQUIREMENT: 19”x19” wall hanging, ½ yard of fabric one and ½ yard of fabric two; 55”x55” wall hanging, 2 yds of fabric one and 2 yds of fabric two. Border and binding as desired.
